Grand Chama River Journey

Rivers & Birds invites you to set aside your worldly responsibilities for three days to become a nature-loving River Rat on the Wild and Scenic Chama River.

Over the course of this three-day, 33 mile river float, we will wine and dine you with gourmet organic meals, musicians will serenade you, storytellers will enchant you, and river-wise naturalists will discuss local archaeology, geology, wildlife, and river ecology. Seasoned Guides and River Runners will safely navigate you through the rapids, take you on walks, and set up camp among towering pines and spectacular canyon walls

$2,000 of the price of this $2700 benefactor’s float trip goes to support Rivers & Birds award-winning experiential environmental education programs for New Mexico youth. The joy of this river adventure reflects the exhilaration students feel as they learn about Earth stewardship with Rivers & Birds. There has never been a more critical time to teach stewardship to the next generation of Earth stewards. This is a delightful way to create a powerful intention for the sustainability of future generations.
