Local Taos Geology

Would you like to learn about local Taos geology and have lots of fun at the same time?

We’ll drive, hike, and talk our way through the geologic wonders of the Taos area during this 1-day workshop, August 14th, 9 am - 5 pm.

We’ll learn about deep time, rocks and minerals, fossils, earth plates and mountain building, earthquakes and volcanism, and our finite energy and mineral resources. Our discussions will include the interwoven relationships between our physical and biological worlds in order to better understand the evolving landscape and the future of our planet.
