Water Wonder - 2nd Grade

This is a six-day hands-on program in which students venture into nature for four days.  Second grade students learn about the water cycle and the states of water.  They learn about the distribution of water on Earth and that many people do not have access to clean water.  They discuss ways to conserve water.  They learn the values of riparian habitat.  They explore the importance of aquatic life in stream water quality monitoring.  Throughout the program they apply the scientific method in their hands-on explorations.
